Do Not Feel Sorry For Yourself

Have you ever heard of the movie or book “The Help” ?

Well if you did or did not, I will tell you the story about a young woman named Skeeter. Skeeter‘s confidence is very relatable to other females in this world. This is why I want to share this character‘s life and apply to realistic life.

She is young woman who is tall and goofy believe she is not worthy. Everyone bullies her and calls her ugly, tall and goofy. The young woman had a hard life and the only one who supported her was the family maid, who she called her “mother”. Her mother was never there for her emotionally or physically. Her family maid took care of her and raised her like her own child.

The young woman always suffered with accepting her height and looks. The elder woman told her to stop feeling sorry for herself and don’t care about anyone’s hurtful words. You are beautiful and don’t let anyone take your shine away.

Here is the following scene:

Please show respect and listen to the words:

This scene is purposely emotional and inspirational. It gives an image of two people of different colors and strong women who are seen as nothing but they create beauty together. Sometimes in life... you have to eat people’s words...because those words don’t truly matter unless they are positive. Don’t allow anyone beneath you or higher than you as people “say” to make you feel sorry for who you are. Never give up hope. Life is full of hope.

The two two women in that scene grew apart eventually due to ”higher” people. The elder woman whose name is Constantine, died of a broken heart due to this cold world and Skeeter‘s mother turning her back against her. Skeeter had a broken heart all her life and her mother was the main person who always did, until the end where she healed her heart by telling her the truth and making things better. Skeeter became a brilliant writer and saved other maids lives and told their stories internationally. Are people making fun of her now? I hope not. Look at her life and look at their lives now.

The lesson to be learn is that we all need that Constantine to help guide us to that higher confidence road and we need to recognize our internal Skeeter and make life worth more than we think it’s worth. Eat words and s*** gold 😂

That line may not make any since , but when you think back on it you will get the memo of what I am trying to say. Don’t let others bring you down and never feel sorry for yourself.

This is very important for people to remember. The biggest supporter anyone will ever have is themselves and the better they are at helping themselves the better things will be.
